The Shimano R55C4-A brake pads have a 1 mm thinner lining than R55C4, and are therefore only suitable for wide carbon rims with a diameter of 19 to 28 mm. They are compatible with current and older Dura-Ace, Ultegra, 105 rim brakes (standard and direct mount), with groupless and cantilever brakes. Both on the road and in the mud, R55C4 brake pads last longer than average.
