he Shimano FH-RS400 is a rear wheel hub without groupset integration for use on road bikes with classic rim brakes. Thanks to its finely machined, polished cone bearings, ingenious seal and internal grease sleeve, it ensures long-lasting, low-friction operation. The hub body is made of aluminium, axle and freehub are made of steel. The FH-RS400 is available in black and silver to better match your bike.

Angular contact ball bearings of the cup & cone type are superior to sealed cartridge bearings in terms of load carrying capacity, as they distribute lateral and vertical forces better, and thus run particularly smoothly and last a long time. They are also easier to adjust, maintain and replace.
