SHM HB-RS400 36 FRONT HUB BLACK

The Shimano HB-RS400 is a groupless front hub for road bikes with classic rim brakes. It has a finely machined, polished cone bearing, contact seals and an internal grease sleeve. The hub shell is made of anodised aluminium, the axle of steel. A quick release with aluminium lever is included. Choose between a black and a silver version.

Cup and Cone Bearings
Angular contact ball bearings of the cup & cone type are superior to sealed cartridge bearings in terms of load carrying capacity, as they distribute lateral and vertical forces better, and thus run particularly smoothly and last a long time. They are also easier to adjust, maintain and replace.
